In 1 week I made a first person shooter inspired by Dead Space and System Shock. This is one of the areas where the player will encounter many horrors, flashing lights, voice recordings, body parts and a creature lurking somewhere in the area.
Starting are of the game. I´m happy with what I could accomplish in a week from a level design stand point.
The view from the space station in to the emptiness that's outside, would you rather be alone out there or inside with other...things?
Start of the game, dark tone with eerie atmospheric music playing. This is the point of no return, you have to continue onwards with the little bullets you have in your shotgun.
By pressing F you could equip your flashlight to be able to see in the dark environment. Good way to hide scary things only visible with the flashlight and a good way to create tension.
Inside of a reception desk, stare long enough and a monster will drag the body in the background only leaving the head and hands behind.
Another look outside where I wanted to showcase the details I placed to an area where the player wont visit (outside).
Going through one of the doors, you will be greeted by some of the people who used to work on the station. They were a part of a jumpscare.
